Ken Kennedy Sport Director Bio
Ken Kennedy spent his early years traveling the world with his military family, but found a home when he moved to La Grande in 1994 to attend Eastern Oregon University.
After graduating from Malad High School (Malad, Idaho) where he lettered in football and track and field, he moved to Ontario with his family and attended TVCC on a music scholarship. He started his sports broadcasting career doing color-commentary for Ontario School on KSRV in 1989. In 1997 Ken was offered the opportunity to do play-by-play EOU football the day after graduating with a degree in History. It was a position he held for twenty-years.
Hired to do news and sports for KCMB radio, Ken began broadcasting La Grande High School football and basketball in 2000. In 2005 he started doing public address for the La Grande High School baseball team. In 2017 he was inducted into the LHS Hall-of-Fame, one of the biggest honors of his life.
Ken has coached football from the Optimist level to High School. Volunteering to help youth in the community is his biggest passion. Disabled by a severe heart condition in 2017, Ken currently resides in Ontario (hopefully a temporary situation) while getting treatment for his heart condition.
