Coffee With Will and Sean Crow Video – Crazy Days Fun Run

Coffee With Will and Sean Crow

The La Grande High School Track, Field, and Cross Country Teams, and the Crazy Days Fun Run

By Will Bowman  – LGA TV Senior Editor

I’ve found a kindred spirit in Sean Crow–he likes exercise, writing, and, like me, once he gets started with coffee he just can’t stop. We chatted for almost an hour yesterday about running, writing, the LHS cross country, track and field teams, and the Crazy Days fun run coming up on Saturday. There will be a 5k and a 10k. Registration starts at 7 am, 10k at 8, and 5k at 9:30. I’m going to run it and you should too, if you’re a runner, that is. And also, Sean, I had a fantastic time. Keep writing and investing in those high school kids!

Thomas Taylor EO People Project

By Will Bowman  – LGA TV Senior Editor

Thomas Taylor is a man who loves La Grande. He loves it so much, in fact, he spends his weeks walking around down town, opening doors, ringing bells, having coffee dates, and otherwise frequenting the local businesses and trying to make connections and establish community right here in La Grande. That and designing fantastic events like the Beer Festival.

Thomas is the director of La Grande Main Street and a close personal friend. We share passion for local business and local food, and local personal friends. In this Coffee With Will, we talk about LG Main Street and the Beer Festival. Thanks for coming in, Thomas!

Pumping Iron – Matt Orthmann EO People Project

By Will Bowman  – Senior Editor

Matt Orthmann has been a buddy of mine since I moved to La Grande and attended Eastern Oregon University together and worked on a range of artistic projects. And now that we’re both respectively graduated, we share the experience of trying to create beautiful, tasteful pieces of art in a small town where the market for our trades is very, very small. Matt has one of the best work ethics of any other guy I’ve ever met. He also shares my passion for pushing himself, crafting himself, and otherwise creating beautiful, expressive things from his own artistic daemon, as Nietzsche would call it, as well as his body which can, in many cases, become a means of artistic expression and craft. I really love having coffee with this guy: he’s a great blacksmith, a good conversation, and one of the most driven guys I’ve ever met.
